Storage facilities in Los Angeles?

Looking for recommendations for affordable storage facilities in the Greater Los Angeles Metro area. 

 

I will be attending UCLA with a car this fall, so the facility's location doesn't have to be to specific to the westside, just commutable maybe once a month at most.

 

I prefer a self storage place where I personally lock up and access all my things, but would consider one of the more mobile options. Never used mobile storage though.

 

I checked Yelp but the reviews by themselves weren't too assuring.

There are tonnes of places by LAX.

I second: lots around LAX, and cheaper than around UCLA. I think you have to take the Yelp reviews critically, public storage is something one would only review if they had a bad experience. Just make sure you update your contact information and payment info, or put a friend's name there if you travel abroad, you wouldn't want to see your stuff on Storage Wars.

Great advice, guys - thanks! I have begun to explore facilities closer to LAX. Hopefully, though, I can whittle down my belongings so I only need to rent a small size unit!
