It's tough for international applicants, but I'd say you definitely have a shot at a top 20 program. Best of luck!

I agree with you that my research experience is not impressive. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that the paper submitted to the SIAM journal will get through the publication process by the end of this year. As I know, it usually takes more than 1 year for the result to come. On the other hand, I would like to ask how important the reference letters are. Thanks again.
