UT-Dallas Application Question

Hi Y'all!

 

This is my first post on this site, so I hope it is in the right area... if not I'm sorry! I am currently completing the application for UTD for spring 2015, and I was wondering if anyone had any insight from previously applying to this school. On the online application, there is a section that is asking, "Please attach to the application a brief narrative outlining your academic interests. Include any current or long-range interests in research, teaching or other professional objectives." Is this UTD's way of asking for a statement of purpose, or is this a separate essay. I've emailed the school, but I have yet to receive a response!

I just went through this application process for Fall 2014. Yes, they are simply asking for your statement of purpose at that part of the application. Good luck!
