Hi all!

I'm looking into schools which have professors doing polymer chemistry research, but I'm not sure what's in my reach. I'm concerned about my stats (I'm graduating in three years, which is limiting the time I have to get more research experience), and I would like some outsider opinions.

When I Apply:

  • GPA: 4.0 (overall), 4.0 (chem)
  • GRE: will take soon, but I tend to do well on standardized testing
  • Research: 1 year in a polymer lab, 1 REU in polymer chemistry
  • LOR: 2 from my research advisors, and a third from a professor
  • Publications: 2 in the works, second author (and maybe a third)

I'm planning on applying to UT-Austin, UNC-Chapel Hill, Georgia Tech, and U-Minnesota. Should I consider other schools which are a better fit for me (but still have professors doing research relevant to my interests)?
