ChasingMavericks Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Hey everyone! I'm having a bit of trouble identifying how to write one of my volunteer experiences on my resume. I spend some free time (ongoing) helping high school students with their application/scholarship/fafsa process for college, as well as helping peers with academic advising and grad school applications. I don't do this for a specific organization I just do it on my own because it's something I like to do. Since it's pertinent to my career interests I really want to be able to incorporate in my volunteer section of my resume (since I just do it for free). How would I go about doing that? Does anybody have experience incorporating similar types of "freelance" experience in their resume? Any bits of advice or words of wisdom helps
ChasingMavericks Posted July 18, 2014 Author Posted July 18, 2014 Ya I'm really not interested in listing it as freelance! No offense if anybody sees this that disagrees, but I kind of think it's a joke to list anything as freelance. I was most confused how/if to include because I do it continuously off and on. I'd rather just put it in my volunteer/leadership, but I'm not even sure what to call it.
