mfaphoto1 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Hi, I am only *thinking* of applying to graduate school. I am still on the fence. I am new to this forum and read previous MFA Photography posts/threads and am wondering if anyone has insight on Yale versus the Rhode Island School of Design for photography. I've looked at the student work from both schools and some look similar while others do not. Both schools have thesis shows in New York. I am primarily interested in any similarities/differences in each school's respective admissions process and program/critique structures. This comparison is based on the U.S. World News rankings. I am interested in east coast schools which is why I am not including School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Thank you for any information you can provide!
Erpnope Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 you should just visit both and see which you like more
seefortyone Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 agreed with ernope. also, email or speak to current/former students to understand each program's structure from people who have gone/going through it.
