Prple Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Can you recommend a MLIS or MLS program that doesn't have a TON of group work? Are there certain programs that require more group work than others? I am primarily interested in online programs.
avflinsch Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 (edited) Possibly this online program - http://comminfo.rutgers.edu/master-of-library-and-information-science/completing-a-degree-online.html (online version of the program I am in, same requirements, just all classes are online) Just curious, but why would you want to avoid group work? Once you get into the real world it is almost all group work. Edited September 6, 2014 by avflinsch

efs001 Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 If you want to avoid group work, MLIS is probably not for you.
Shep Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Most MLIS programs require group work because of the working atmosphere after graduation. It really is very much like grade school. I agree. If group work isn't your thing, maybe skip getting an MLIS.
