normanthecat Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 I really need help establishing how important GRE quant scores are for research Psychology programs. My verbal and reasoning scores were excellent (99th and 98th percentile respectively), but my quant score was just above average (154, 56th percentile). I hope to get into a top school in the US. My GPA is 4.0 and my LORs will be great and I have tons of research experience. Is this quant score going to hold me back? I still have time to rewrite, obviously, but don't have too much time to dedicate to improving my score. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
Applemiu Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Because the rest of your application seems strong, the Q score may not be an issue; but to be safe I would retake if possible. Just aim for 160. I know this is not a great answer.
