Hi, just started looking into grad school. Here's my stats, perhaps you can tell me how I'd fare? I'm not even sure which schools would be "safe" and which would be reach, but I plan to apply to UCLA, GSPP, Mills College, LBJ for geographic reasons.

* Midwestern no-name state school print journalism GPA: 3.6

* 2 years copy editing at a metro daily newspaper

* Haven't taken the GRE yet ... but predicting a high 700s verbal and 600-something math, considering my personal strengths and past test-taking experiences

* all internships/other WE is journalism-related, nothing really policy-oriented

* a few months volunteering at a rough public school ... but education's not what i want to focus on

I have an F on a community college transcript... I was taking the course for personal enrichment, didn't like the instructor, was taking another course and it got to be too much so I let the teacher know I was bowing out about 80% of the way through. Yeah, stupid decision, but the same semester I got an A in the other class and was working full-time. Not really sure how to spin that away from it showing that I'm lazy/don't know my limits.

Thanks for advice!
