Hi, I am an international student studying in the US applying to Statistics PhD/MS programs in US and Canada. I can see all of the institutions that I am planning on applying state that they exempt the TOEFL requirement for international applicants who received or will receive a bachelor's degree in English speaking countries.

I was wondering if it is general tendency to offer TAships to the international applicants with a degree from the US? Or should I take the TOEFL test and submit it if I want to get a TA position?

Thank you.

I'm betting that this is school specific.  If they don't mention it on the website, call the school and ask.  Every school does things a little differently.
