Leie Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Hello everyone. I have plan to apply top CS ph.d programs in this year for Fall 2015. Recently, I got gre scores as follows (V:150, Q:160, AW: not availble in current, I exepct over 3.0) I think that the Verbal score is too low to get admission from top ph.d programs. So, I wonder that I have to retake GRE test one more again. Is there any person who give me guidance about above? Below lists are the candidate school to apply. - Carnegie Mellon University - University of California, Berkely - University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign - University of Pennsylvania - Cornell University - University of Michigan, Ann Arbor - University of Texas, Austin - University of Virginia - University of Maryland, College Park - Washington University in St. Louis Thanks and Regards Leie
DeleteMePlease Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 The scores could be good enough if the rest of your application is really strong, except for CMU and UC Berkeley. However, if you have time, definitely try to retake the test. It is so easy to study for it and you cannot do worse because of ScoreSelect.
Leie Posted September 28, 2014 Author Posted September 28, 2014 I'm Sorry. I made a type my quant score is 169. not 160.
krizzle Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 I got a Q:165 V:160 AW:3.5 Worried that my writing score is too low. I think I'll retake to try and get my quant and writing up.
