Tush Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Hi, I'm an Indian Student and gave my GRE last week My scores are Quant : 165 Verbal : 159 Total : 324 AWA : Yet to receive TOEFL : Due in 15 days I've worked in the Analytics Industry for more than 30 months now. I'm also SAS certified. GPA is slightly on the lower side (2.7/4) Am planning to apply for courses around MS in Business Analytics or Operations Research . Looking at the following colleges 1. CMU Heinz School Of Business MISM with concentration on BIDA (Business Intelligence & Data Analysis) 2. Columbia MS in Operations Research with concentration on Analytics 3. UIUC MS in Statistics with concentration on Analytics 4. NCSU MS in Analytics I primarily need advice on 4 things : 1. Do I give GRE again to try and get 170 in QUant? 2. What are the other Tier-I colleges I should be aiming at? 3. Given my work experience, will these colleges give more importance to the work ex. compared to my GPA? 4. Do you think I have a fair chance in any of the above colleges? Thanks for the help
Tush Posted October 3, 2014 Author Posted October 3, 2014 Hey Folks, Please reply. Any help will be appreciated !!
TheCrow Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 If I recall correctly, NCSU's MS in Analytics does not require or accept GRE scores (or any other standardized test).
<trinz> Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Have you already applied to NCSU? I have about 7 weeks before. Still awaiting an interview decision.
