ftmathteacher Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 (edited) Hi, I need some advice on what my chances are of getting into a PhD program. I've been a high school math teacher for 8 years now at a high-needs low SES school and have a BA in Ethnic Studies (minor math) and MA in Math Education from The University of Texas at Austin. I've written curriculum for the district (Austin ISD) for 2 years now, and have been teacher lead for several years. However, my master's program was highly geared towards teachers and we had to do a report instead of a thesis. Is that a possible factor that could hurt my chances of getting in? Any help will be highly welcomed! Hook 'em! or shall I start saying...gig 'em! Edited October 2, 2014 by ftmathteacher
