Hey guys, I am new here.

I was looking for some advice as to how to explain an incomplete master when applying to another graduate program.

I took admission in part time masters after I graduated while also doing a full time job. But I soon found it very difficult to manage full time job with my studies mainly due to the fact that university changed the part time masters into full time after one year of my enrollment. This meant that the classes were now held in the morning, making it almost impossible for me to pursue my masters while being employed full time. I did complete 4 courses (out of 8 plus a thesis), but with poor grades. Off course i could have resigned from my job and concentrate fully on studies, but I choose not to and almost dropped out.

Now that I have worked in the industry for some time (gaining valuable experience and saving some money), I am contemplating to pursue my masters from a better university abroad. Will the incomplete masters hurt my chances of getting into the new graduate program? Will the above be a good enough explanation for not being able to complete the masters?

One option is to leave out the whole thing from my application. But I am afraid that would be dishonest of me and could potentially be disastrous if the university finds out about the omitted transcripts.
