lucydiasy Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I was wondering if anybody could enlighten me on how competitive school counseling MEd/MA programs typically are.. Particularly on the west coast. I have a decent amount of experience (suicide/crisis hotline employee, substitute teacher, past Pre-K teacher and volunteering as a child grief group facilitator as well as assisting a child life specialist in a hospital), strong LOR and good GRE scores. My concern is with my GPA a little lower than I think it should be for applying to these kinds of programs (3.2 - 3.3). Then again, I haven't been able to find very good info online on these programs so I was wondering if anyone here could give me some insight. Thanks in advance.
