What I wish I knew then....

The older graduate students at my program, including myself, are putting on an event called "What I wish I knew then..." for the newer graduate students. The point of the session is to give them information and advice about how to be successful as a graduate student.

 

While I have some ideas about what kind of advice and information would be useful to new students, I was hoping that some of the current applicants who contribute to this forum could tell me what would be useful to touch upon. In return I will address whatever questions you might have about graduate student life.
