zerin2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 (edited) Inernational, South Asian Objective: MS in Applied Stat/Stat with funding UGPA: 3.2 (Marketing major and Math minor,from a South Asian university)GRE: 325 (Expected;Haven't given the exam yet) TOEFL: 110 (Expected;Haven't given the exam yet) Maths : Calc 1-4, Linear algebra, 2 Stat course (Intro to Stat, Applied Stat) *3.3/4 on average in maths course*Programming knowledge: NonePublications : NoneResearch Experience : NoneWork Experience : 2 years as Marketing Executive (With little use of statistics in work. Like few in house consumer behavior related researches)Recommendations: Fairly Good. Both from corporate and academic supervisors.My end goal is to enter the data science scene. However, I realized this goal pretty late. After finishing my undergrad. So, planning to go back and do the math courses. I have 1 year before I start applying. what can I do in the mean time to increase my chances of landing a funded offer for Masters in Applied Stat/Stat? I also have an option to do an one year masters on stat here first. would it help?Also recommend some programs please where I might have a shot at funded offer with this profile?
