elveintiocho Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Hello everyone, I'm applying to 2 top-tier programs in Educational Technology, and one of my LoR's will be from the Cultural Section of the Consulate General of Italy in my country, as I did consulting work for them (I advised and helped them with taking some of their educational programs online). I worked with both the Director and the Vice-Director of the organization, and both of them offered to write the letter. Neither knows me better than the other, so it all comes down to this... Should I choose: 1. The Vice-Director, who has a PhD? (and will of course include this in his signature). 2. The Director, who has a higher rank in the organization but doesn't have a PhD? What do you think?
elveintiocho Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 Thanks, Applemiu! I actually decided to go with the other one... They ask for 2 professional and 1 academic recommendations, and since this one's a professional recommendation I thought the Director of the institution would carry more weight. Plus, my academic recommendation is already from a PhD. I hope I made the right choice
Applemiu Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 I am sure you did. I did not know that you had another recommender with a Phd.
