mechanik Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 1. Some Canadian universities offer the MEng at 1 year and the MASc at 2 years of study. The university of Victoria mentions a Typical program length of within 24 months for both MEng and MASc. Isn't there a standard program length for MEng in Canada? 2. Finishing within 24 months might be the maximum length. The average length could be less. Can I know the average length for a Victoria MEng student? The units for MASc in Victoria are 19.5, for MEng are 16.5. Is this an indication of the length of the program?
eragon Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 (edited) It will usually take 24 months to complete MEng if you complete a 8 month internship. Its the same for MASc as well. MAsc you have to complete a thesis while for MEng its a final project. MASc - 6 courses. MEng - 8 courses Edited November 30, 2014 by eragon mechanik 1

eragon Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 No Internship is not compulsory but most students do it and it helps while applying for full time jobs. mechanik 1
