audacht_morainn Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Hey, I am a current Master's student applying to Harvard's Celtic PhD for 2015. I am new to this site and I was wondering if there is anyone who has any insights on applying to this program, knows what the department looks for in applicants, is a successful applicant themselves, etc.... I am currently working on a MLitt in Celtic Studies at the University of Glasgow focusing on early Irish law and legal traditions. I come from a M.A. in Political Science where I studied political theory and legal history. While I do not have anything published, I have gone to conferences, I am on the program for two conference for next spring, and I hope to have an article under review by the time I submit my application. Does anyone have any pointers/tips/advise on how to improve my chances? I appreciate any help. Best, AM
sillyrabbit Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 I don't have any advice, but I did a study abroad term at the University of Glasgow - I loved it! Definitely one of my favorite cities in the world...ah I need to go back.
