wewewe Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Hello everyone, I'm new to the forums I'm thinking we can share stats, concerns, about the upcoming admissions process. Just wondering who else is applying to Operations Research / Industrial engineering PhDs for Fall 2015? Here are my stats: Undergrad Institution: Large Public Major: Mathematics GPA: 3.82 Domestic Male (U.S. Citizen) GRE: V: 164 (93%) Q: 170 (98%) W: 5.0 (93%) GRE Subject Test Mathematics 780 (78%) Research Experience - 1 REU, 2 additional summers of research, 2 conference talks, no publications. Other points: My math background is very strong - taken numerous grad-level classes and almost all of my school's undergrad math courses. I hear that OR prefers math majors, is that true? I'm looking to apply to these schools for OR: UNC Chapel Hill Michigan MIT Berkeley Columbia Cornell Georgia Tech What do you think of my chances? Do you think I'm shooting too high?
ndie_sosu Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Everyone in my year came from math so I'd say that's true
