On Nov. 26 this year my scheduled GRE was cancelled due to inclement weather. It was reschedule by the center for Dec. 15. The problem is that is the deadline for my first application and the scores can not obviously get there before that. I contacted the graduate admissions program for the Masters program in Mental Health Counseling that I would like to apply to, but they have not responded. I don't really have the strongest application to begin with my gpa is 2.9 with a BA in Psychology. I guess that was a mistake, I should have made my theater minor a major had a 3.8 gpa with a minor in psych and I would have had a better chance to get into the masters program since they seem to care more about your gpa than the psychology credits and/or experience you have. Does anyone have any information on either of my concerns? How badly do you think the delayed GRE scores will affect me and does anyone know if perhaps for a Mental Health Counseling Masters they might give some weight to the fact that the 2.9 gpa is with a BA in psych?  Although, it will most likely be at least a 3.1 or higher by the end of the school year because I am getting straight A's (easier courses I should have taken sooner). Am learning a lot from this college experience... I think the fact that I am the first one in my family to go to college is reflecting in all the mistakes I've made. Is there any hope for me? Thanks and sorry I carried on...
