Owlet Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Hi, I'm filling in my application to the Harvard graduate school of arts and sciences. There are two places where they want me to fill in the courses I've taken, but they also mention course number, and I'm not sure how I should fill that out. Is anyone here also applying to Harvard and encountered the same situation? 1. Mathematics background They want "Course title and number" 2. Abstract of Courses They want "Descriptive title (with identifying number listed first)" Thanks for any advice on how to fill in this part!
victorydance Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 The course number that the host university gave the course.
Owlet Posted December 8, 2014 Author Posted December 8, 2014 There appears to be two numbering systems in my school: 課程序號 and 課程碼. For example, one course has the numbers C5054 and C524400. I'm guessing it's the first, since the length is similar to US the system.
jipq6175 Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Hi, this is another Taiwanese applying for admission to Harvard but different program. : ) As far as I know, the course number is the number on your transcript. I believe that the course name follows the number. For example, MATH 1201 Calculus You should enter "MATH1201" and that's what I did when filling out those forms for Harvard. They will track down every course on your transcript so just copy everything from it. Good luck
