ktk Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 (edited) Typically for job apps and even grad school apps, I wouldn't mention things before high school, everyone has told me that. I've encountered a textbox that simply states: List any relevant internship or work experience that you have. I have some internship experience for a university and a Fortune 100 company where I did work that is relevant to the lab I want to work for... Should I include it? I do have more items from my undergrad but I am wondering if listing high school internships, regardless of relevance would be detrimental to my application. Have I answered my own question? eeee1923 Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 I would just briefly mention it but there's no need to write more than 2-3 sentences about the experience and just include it to show that you have some exposure to the area in which you would like to work. ktk 1
ktk Posted December 15, 2014 Author Posted December 15, 2014 (edited) Yeah. It is a small textbox already, and I don't have more than two sentences on the pre-college stuff. (edit: combined) Thanks! Edited December 15, 2014 by ktk
uselesstheory Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Just to echo @eteshoe: include it if relevant! I just want to emphasize that including HS experience is okay if it is relevant and professional (as yours is, as opposed to a high school club, perhaps). ktk 1
