jayshin0220 Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Does anyone know how rolling admission work? below is from CIPA website. So does it mean that they can close it whenever # of applicants are maxed out? (even before January) CIPA has a rolling admissions program, admitting qualified students throughout the year. As numbers of applicants have been increasing, admissions may be closed at any point when the class is full. Candidates are urged to apply between November and January.
PolicyGrad92 Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Yep that's what it means. I also think it means that it gets more competitive in the later months. A friend of mine had applied to LSE (which also has rolling admissions) mid Jan last year, she was informed that only 5 seats are available. So competition for those 5 seats, was obviously fierce.

Hey, What PolicyGrad92 says is true. At CIPA, it also means that they have limited funding which is given on a first come basis. So the sooner you apply, the higher your chances are of getting (and bargaining for more) funding. I am a current CIPA fellow, let me know if you have any questions. Good luck!
