drizzler Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Hello everyone! Congrats on submitting your final applications (or being close to it)! I was hoping to get some advice on planning for interviews. I am in a bit of a weird situation in that I am working full time right now and my work requires a month notice for taking more than 2 days off. This presents a bit of a problem because 1) I don't know how many interviews I will have and 2) I don't know when the interviews will be. My POIs don't list any dates only really "late February". Any advice on how I should handle this situation or how people have done so in the past? I'm just freaking out and having trouble thinking clearly, so I figured I would ask.
eeee1923 Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Explain you situation to your employer and see if they would be willing to be a little lenient in terms of taking time off. If you at least let them know the situation at this point, it'll ease the tensions that would come up if you wait until you have concrete dates before requesting time off. Good luck with your applications and interviews. eeee1923 and nixy 2
drizzler Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 Thanks so much! This was kind of my plan but I just wanted to see how anyone else may have handled the situation.
