nateha1984 Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 I'm very interested in exploring options for an MSCS outside of the US (and inside the US too, but that research seems a bit easier). What I can't seem to figure out is how to go about researching European graduate schools. A lot of Googling leads me to websites that seem to be pushing programs that they get paid to push rather than a comprehensive list similar to Princeton Review or US News. Some of them seem to be the equivalent of a community college, others have little information aside from the name and a price tag. Does anyone know of a good comprehensive site to help wade through the European universities that offer an MS/equivalent in CS?
DeleteMePlease Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I think in Europe most schools are on a decent level. It's not like in the states where there are really good schools and also really bad schools. So most people don't care that much about rankings. Why don't you use worldwide rankings like QS: http://www.topuniversities.com/qs-world-university-rankings? Also, in Europe the separation between undergrad and graduate school isn't really a thing.
nateha1984 Posted January 14, 2015 Author Posted January 14, 2015 Thanks for the help! So if I'm looking for a post-graduate degree from a European school, how do I go about finding a program? Is it just a general degree in CS? I'm not looking to go back and get a second Bachelor's as I'm only interested in CS courses. And as for picking a school, in the absence of rankings/rankings not mattering, what do European students look for in a school? Just cost and location?
