MartaDenver Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 I'm a Polish student who just graduated from PhD program in Biology. I have being offered a Post Doc position in a lab in China. I'm looking for a way to improve my Spoken Mandarin before I start the new position. Are there any good ways to practice with Native Mandarin speakers? Before I came to the US I used a website called www.spokenenglishpractice.com which helped me a lot in improving my English speaking. I want to do the same thing with Mandarin. Again, I'm not looking for elementary grammar lessons - I'm looking more for conversation Mandarin, with a native speakers. Thanks, M
lexie9299 Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 (edited) Hi, you can try http://www.italki.com/ or https://www.verbling.com. Both websites have free and paid Chinese sessions. Enjoy the process of learning Chinese and your stay in China! : ) Edited March 2, 2015 by lexie9299
Xeno Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Nciku is pretty good as a tool. There are some books you should try buying: "Conversational Mandarin Online" by Tim Xie (its a book). Beyond that? Brainscape has some basic flashcards which are useful. Check them out if you get a chance.
