someName Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Hello, before the application deadlines I had a 3.2 GPA .However I just recently received my new transcript with Fall 2014 grades , and now my GPA is 3.3 . I contacted the admissions of the Universities I already applied to for sending the new transcript. They wanted me to send it online and I did. However my other application materials still refers to my old GPA I .In my Resume I refer to my old GPA(3.2) In my SOP and Resume I refer to my manually calculated Major GPA which is again calculated from the old transcript. I am slightly worried that if they calculate the GPA themselves from the new transcript and then compare with the old ones in my Resume or SOP they would think I made a calculation error or something like that, and since I am applying to a STEM field they would dismiss my application. Honestly I feel like I am being little paranoid there since they could easily see that GPA in my Resume and the transcript does not match and they can figure the transcript is newer( It contains the date). My guess is that this is a pretty common issue , so the admission committee's are familiar about such mismatches. Would this mismatch be an issue ? Do you think I should contact the admissions about it? Thank you
