everlast_ Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 I am an international student and I got the group interview/ school visit invitation from Univer of Rochester for their Master of Marriage and Family Therapy program. I really like the structure of their program because their MFT is located within their department of psycharitry, which will enable me to have a lot of experience with clinical population. Just a few questions: 1. In the email it said that the group interview is not the whole portion or the visit, there will be other sections such as welcome of the dean, Program Overview, luncheon. guess my question is what's the acceptance rate among the invited applicants? cuz it seems that they are pretty active in introducing their school to us... do we still need to go through a "battlefield" to ensure the admission or its more laid back? 2. Any tips about group interview for MFT programs? I am a little freak out as I am an international student and this is the first invitation of the interview I got and it is one of my top choice school (oh well I am kinda indecisive so I have 4 top choice schools lol but anyway...) it would be super nice if any folks in the similar field can give me some insights about the what the interviewer value in a group interview ,.. or if you have heard anything about the MFT program in Rochester. how's the reputation? Is it easy to secure a job postgraduate ? what's the wage situation compare to Social work( cuz I am also applying for MSWs?) Thanks a lot !!
