gabrielle1106 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Hi all, One of the programs I applied to required that I be approved by a professor. I spoke with one who agreed to be my advisor (Yay!) But now it's been neraly 2 months since I applied, and I'm freaking out (duh) like everyone else... Does being approved mean I have a good chance of getting accepted or does that mean nothing? Should I contact the advisor or not? Freaking out!
Kleene Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 If the program requires you to have found a prospective supervisor, it means that having a prospective supervisor is the only way to be seriously considered. So, it just means that you are being considered. Check the results search to see when results for this program usually get out. If it is more than a week past that, you could consider contacting an adcom.
