hdev Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 I have a couple of pending offers, which demand me to reply by the end of February. I was wondering if the aforementioned universities are still considering some applicants. I feel that the chances are pretty low.
cicada2014 Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 You should check with the programs and see if you are on the waitlist. They are usually accomodating of such requests.
thissiteispoison Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 UW made its decisions already and does not waitlist, but it's possible that not everyone has been notified, since the process is not automated. MIT had some late admits last year, so they might do some sort of internal waitlist. Not sure about CMU or UIUC.

I mailed some of the programs a few days back. Unfortunately, there has been no reply. controlc Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I recently saw a couple CMU and UIUC accepts on the results page, so it seems that they are still admitting people. Not sure about UW, but MIT is supposed to release its admission decisions on its website late February/Early March, so I would say there's still a non-zero probability for MIT. Snoq and controlc 2
CSallday Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Yeah, if you look at previous years, there is a small chance of getting into any of these schools (since none of them have started sending rejections yet and all of them seem to occasionally have a late admit). But I think the chance is small.
