noemue Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 I'm starting this thread in case people want to use it to find a study group/partner. For a few months, I've been searching for a study partner in my area using studypal.co with no luck. Honestly, I think having an online study partner may be a better fit for me. PM me if you're interested in being online study partners. Here's my study information that I've modified from my studypal.co account: Estimated Test Date: September 2015 Level of Prep Status: Just Starting Target Score Range: I want to be right at the top Strength: Verbal Weakness: Quant Study Materials: Manhatten Prep, Magoosh, ETS Official Guide. I want to modify a version of a six month study plan that I found on Magoosh. Preferred communication: Skype, Google Hangouts, Jitsi Industry: Museums and Institutions/Non-profit education/STEM education Target Schools: Boston University, Columbia University, Georgetown University, University of Washington - Seattle, MIT Media Lab A Little About Me: I'm an education specialist at a museum where I get to play with things like 3D printers and laser cutters. I enjoy geocaching, hiking, knitting and reading. I've also worked in the maker movement for a couple of years now. Looking for: I'm hoping to find a study partner that wants to do a six month study plan using the Manhatten Prep set and/or Magoosh. I also wouldn't mind being part of a study group that meets maybe once every week or so. Feel free to copy and modify this in your own post to help you find a study group/partner.
Flambo Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 I’m looking for a study partner as studying lonely is boring. Estimated Test Date: June - July 2015 Level of Prep Status: Just Starting Target Score Range: I want to be right at the top but I don’t want to stress myself and pile pressure on me. Systematically planned and casual approach is what I am looking at. Strength: Quant Weakness: Verbal Study Materials: Manhatten Prep, Magoosh, ETS Official Guide. I am following 3 month verbal focused study plan. Preferred communication: Skype. A Little About Me: I’m a Chemical Engineering undergraduate freshman. (Having finished my college about 7-8 months ago.) I had a job for a while but I have quit the job to concentrate on my prep. So a full time GRE prepper now. Looking for: I have appeared for GRE earlier and know better about my strengths and weakness. Scored 89th percentile in quants. Verbal is troublesome and looking to improve on it. Same time, looking to cash in the quantitative section too. I’m looking for someone so that we can complement on our strength and weakness. Studying alone is monotonous and boring. Flambo 1

Thanks!
