Seriously, by this time the department should give me an answer one way or the other. It's almost unethical. It's not as if I don't have a job with a lot of responsibilities, or the fact that I have to uproot myself and travel hundreds of miles to a new country. I still have some hope that I will be admitted since this happened to me before. Last year Utoronto informed me of their decision less than 2 weeks before the start of school.

I know a friend who received an invitation 2 days before classes started off the waitlist (this was a medical school).

I know that one of the programs in my department at UGA wasn't making admissions decisions until Jul 20. It sucks, but at least they had a noticed on the website stating as much. I know in their case, much of the delay was in setting the program budget.

They haven't told you yet because classes haven't started yet. Some schools run a waitlist until fall, in case someone backs out during the summer. It sucks, but that's how it goes when the demand exceeds the supply--especially in medium to larger programs, or in programs where historically students have defected the summer before.
