modernity Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Are there any of you that never heard back from one or more of your schools? I applied to one university all the way back in January, who supposedly sent out rejections to people in March according to the results page (I assume I was rejected), and I still have not heard. I hate to sound bitter... but I paid a pretty hefty sum to have them consider my application. Its fine with me if they don't feel I fit their program but really though, how hard is it to plug my name into a program and print out a form rejection letter and send it to me sometime over the course of 6 months? I just feel its pretty crass to never reply. I can't even be sure they ever looked at my application.
fuzzylogician Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Mistakes happen. Things get lost in the mail. Some programs are just rude and don't bother letting applicants know they were rejected. Why don't you contact the program and find out for sure?
Minnesotan Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I still haven't heard back about my MFA application to Melbourne. It's been over three years, now. I figure I'll get accepted about the time I gain tenure.
UnlikelyGrad Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I just got my last rejection a couple of weeks ago...not sure why it took them so long...
