jbarry4335 Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Hello all, I'm new and I'm looking for a bit of help. I've been accepted to both the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics and the University of Amsterdam Amsterdam School of Economics. I'm waiting on my application to the Stockholm School of Economics. The program in Barcelona is International Trade, Finance and Development Economics and is a 9 month master's. <http://www.barcelonagse.eu/ITFD.html> The program in Amsterdam is Development Economics and is a one year long master's. <http://www.uva.nl/en/education/master-s/master-s-programmes/content/economics-development-economics/economics-development-economics.html> The program in Stockholm is Economics (undenominated) and I would specialise in International Economics and it is a 2-year master's with opportunity for work experience. <http://www.hhs.se/en/Education/MSc/MECON/> My preferences are a mixture of the best, most respected university mixed with quality of life and opportunity for future employment. I'd appreciate anyone's opinion ! Thanks John
Buffalofan4255 Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 All are fantastic universities with great reputations... from my understanding though, amsterdam has the greatest prestige, if that's what you're going for. with that said however, a 1 year development program might not give you all the well-rounded skills you're looking for. In terms of program, it sounds like SKE is the best program. the 9 month program at barcelona is really not worth it, that's a joke for a masters.
