Hi irlys! Welcome to the discussion board. Me and TriPH are waiting patiently (or impatiently) for admission results What's your background?

Hi DoctorWho! I am currently studying a master program of health economics and applied the HPA PhD program.

 

I just receive an email with the title "Deadline to Submit Missing Documents". So i think the final round evaluation began...

 

Two weeks ago I reached out to the HPA program office (as suggested by Brandon) but no replies.

Hello again,

 

I received an email response from Brandon and he has stated that decisions will be sent during the first week of April. So at this point who knows when we'll receive notifications. I assume if we don't hear back within the next two weeks to possibly expect them late April.

 

The delay was due to the SOPHAS verification process.

I have to say I'm getting  a bit irritated at the wait.  I understand that Boston received 9 feet of snow and SOPHAS is based there - but that doesn't explain the delay.  We are way past the deadline for accepting other admissions.  Has anyone else accepted at another school or is UIC your first choice?  The longer the wait the more likely I will talk myself out of this endeavor …..

I agee, it has become a bit frustrating. Like DoctorWho?, I only applied to UIC this year. Depending on the response, I will definitely consider others the next time. I think Loma Linda may have rolling admissions so I will look more in to that as a back up as well. Good luck everyone!

Yea if I don't get in, I'm definitely applying to other schools (the kind of institution that is organized and responds timely LOL)

The waiting is really frustrating and doesn't make any sense, especially lots of people who applied for the MPH program have already heard back from UIC.

No joke. I'm assuming I didn't get accepted and just forgetting about it. I have other stuff to focus on.

I checked online on UIC and I was denied for admissions. Hopefully everyone else has good news and good luck in your other endeavors!!

I would love to see what the profile of the selected group looks like - I was also denied but have about 20 years of experience - extensive leadership both domestic and international.  That said - I did not put forth the best application (I had about 2 weeks to pull it together) or essays though generally I look more for CV experience before looking at essays and academics for a Leadership program.  

 

Good luck to anyone moving forward!  And thanks for letting us know that they had posted their results - I had stopped checking.

The long waiting almost made me forget this application but I checked it today. The status is still "Application Materials Received - Please await further updates"on UIC system and the decision is "Referred to College for Review", just remained without any change since 3 months ago. The Now a Denied would also relieve. But I would like to know where you found the result? From UIC online or from SOPHAS? I didn't find any hint about the result on SOPHAS. I am international applicant so maybe the result will come later than domestic ones. Good luck to everyone!
