Humair Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Hi all, Is it possible to hold multiple I 20s? i have been selected by more than one school and both of them want me to sign the offer letters, while I am still waiting for some other universities to reply as well. Will it be OK to sign the offer letter and then reject the I20 later? Will I need to have the older I 20 cancelled before I can apply for Visa? Please help.
Pegaesus Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Multiple I-20's is not a good thing for your status..Tell the office of enrollment not to ensue a I-20 yet
TakeruK Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 I agree with the above -- ask the schools to not issue any I-20s yet. For my school, after accepting the offer, the International Office contacted me for additional details required to issue the DS-2019 (J-1 equivalent of I-20). So, if you don't provide this information right away, you won't get an I-20 from them since they won't have the info needed to issue a I-20.
