ghostoverground Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Does anyone have any advice on what to say in an email declining an admissions offer (particularly a very generous one)? This is a lot more difficult than I anticipated. Sorry to post what I'm sure is a topic that has been discussed previously, but I'm having trouble finding relevant posts. Thank you!
perpetuavix Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Programs are used to having people decline (even really good ones with amazing funding packages). Just tell them that you appreciate their offer, but you won't be accepting it. You can give more details about why, but you shouldn't feel obligated to do so. A polite, short email is fine. funkydays and ghostoverground 2
