Is it too late to update my application?

Hi,

So I know that most of my programs have already sent out interviews but I haven't heard anything. Would it be a good idea to update them that the manuscripts that I listed on my application is now published (2nd author)?

 

Also, would this kill 2 birds with one stone, by indirectly checking up on the status of my application?

I would update them.  I'm not sure if I would ask about the status.  Play that one by ear...it would depend on who you're talking to, how receptive he/she sounds etc.

I guess you can try? I tried that with my program, but they said I can't update anything. Maybe you can send an email to express your continued interest.

Thank you the input! i just emailed my remaining programs to let them know of my recent publication along with an updated CV.
