superstitious

yes, we're all too smart to be superstitious, but--- does anyone else have some dumb superstition like me? for example, i can't talk about graduate school with anyone around me like friends, family, etc. it's stupid, right? but i can't (or don't want to) control it.

I wouldn't let my folks open any letters from grad schools after the first one they opened was a rejection. I was studying abroad at the time (thus they were getting my mail), and made them forward the mail halfway around the world, which meant everyone had to wait that much longer before hearing the results.

But I'm not superstitious. =)
