Interning Abroad (I/O)

As I will be entering a Masters I/O program in the Fall, I am entertaining the idea of doing an internship abroad next summer to increase my value to potential future employers. I want to work for a company with locations abroad so I feel that with an experience working abroad, particularly with another language (I have a foundation in French), I will look attractive for I/O related positions in those companies.

I studied abroad in undergrad so I do have a basis of where to start looking but I was wondering if anyone has done this and has tips on where to look or how to fit it into your graduate program, etc.

I hope anyone considering a similar career path can find this thread helpful as well.
