Should I bring any sort of resume to the interview?

Is a resume necessary? What should I have with me when I come?

I don't know about your field, but for mine, it was not necessary at any interviews. All my interviewers already had my application information. I didn't bring anything except a small notebook and pen, but I rarely used them.
