mo~ Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Hi guys, I'm looking into some online/distance options and I ran into a concern. For online master's programs that do not have readily available clinical placements in your area, how are you supposed to find the placements? I contacted Eastern New Mexico and they said students are responsible for coming up with a list of medical/school sites with licensed SLP's that they would contact for us in order to find a placement for us. However, she stated this can sometimes be problematic in highly populated places (like Los Angeles where I live). So my question is; does anyone have any experience with this, or know how difficult it would be to find somewhere to agree to help me get clinical hours? This kind of scared me and is making me question whether online schools would be a good idea.
