tqvant Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 (edited) Hi everyone, I am trying to apply to medical dosimetry programs. I already got rejected from two programs and I have 1 program left that I haven't hear from. I was wondering if I should send this email to admission director? This is the email that I am going to sent them: I hope everything is going well. I understand that you guy are still making admission decision. I just want to let you know that even though I am not a radiation therapist. I am willing to do everything that I can to be successful in your program. I been taking more time off to observer dosimetrist and therapist at my department. I now have an even better understand of the field. I hope you see my persistence to be in your program and give me a chance, I promise I will let you down. Thank you again This are some of our prior emails: Me: My name is xxx xxx and I am applying to the xxx medical dosimetry program 2015 cycle. I was wondering if it is possible to add University of California, xxxx Radiation Oncology Department to the list of clinical sites. The facility at xxxx meet all the requirements that are listed on the xxx summary for prospective clinical sites. Our medical physic director xxxx xxxx is also very interest in starting a program at xxx. Please let me know. Thank you for your time. Admission Director: I apologize for the delayed response but yes we do add sites each year. Are you a radiation therapist? The reason I ask is that we teach the program assuming one has this baseline knowledge. Isn’t xxx xxx the director of physics? Me: Thank you for taking the time to reply to my email. I am a clinical researcher and I work with radiation oncologists, physicists and dosimetrists. I also attend medical and physic lecture given by our faculties, so I have a very good understanding of the subject. If I get in the program I would love to train at xxx. I also understand is a long process to get clinical site approve and that is why I try contact you. I apologize xxx. xxx is the Director and xxxx. xxx is the Chief of Clinical Medical Physics.
