LiminalSpace Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Hey everyone, I just got an admit to the MS Robotics Engineering program at WPI (no funding). Would love to know others who have also been admitted here, and whether or not they are planning to join, getting any funding, etc. It would also be great if someone who is already at WPI could describe their experience. Cheers!
pokhara Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 I have an admit to the MS in computer science...When did you apply?...i don't have funding. Don't they provide funding to international students? Without funding i won't be able to pay for the tuition and expenses. When is the deadline for you to respond to the offer?
LiminalSpace Posted April 4, 2015 Author Posted April 4, 2015 I applied way back in Nov end. Have to reply by 15th Apr. I don't think they provide funding to all international students. But a few students can get RA/TA positions later I think.
pokhara Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 I know nothing about the HRI research in WPI. I am concerned about the funding. @ Liminal Space Later means after the first sem?
LiminalSpace Posted April 7, 2015 Author Posted April 7, 2015 I talked to a guy there. He said chances of TA/RA are very low for MS students. You can get after first sem if you're really good in a subject and they have vacancies. But they prefer doctoral students first. OMAM 1
KanishkaGanguly Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Hello everyone! I have also been admitted to WPI for M.S. in Robotics, no funding though. I had actually applied for PhD, had my interview. But they gave me an M.S. I also have an admit from Washington University in St. Louis. Any ideas regarding that college? I am having serious issues selecting between the two.
ellasaro Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Hi everyone, I'm from Uruguay and have also been admitted to this program! I've also been admitted to North Carolina State Univesity and I've going mad over getting some realistic feedback on these universities (specialy related to the robotics programs). I'm in a similar position as KanishkaGanguly. Where can we find someone that can help us regarding WPI?
LiminalSpace Posted April 9, 2015 Author Posted April 9, 2015 Maybe search on LinkedIn or Facebook and message them...
biyun Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I have applied to the PhD program in robotics at WPI. I still haven't heard from them. anyone heard from the PhD program in robotics at WPI?
