ProspectiveStudent42310 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 So, I've seen a bunch of rejects to their PhD programs, while I have yet to hear anything. Is this good news or bad news? I was never contacted for an interview with either school. I don't understand why they would space rejections out if I don't have a shot. This is quite frustrating. I've called them both and I get the stereotypical response, "It often takes a long time to review these applications." Anybody have any insight?
zliu224 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Most school sends out their Phd application admit before early March. I am not sure if they will let more people in at this time. Most likely you are put on waitlist. Most school have deadline for reply to admission before April 15th. You shouldn't rely on this though. It would be a gamble to let go your other offers while waiting for result from schools that you probably wont get in.
