IIT Chicago vs Stevens vs U of Central Florida, fall 15

I have been accepted to the above mentioned three universities in MS Computer science program for Fall 2015. Can anyone help me out with the best of the three. I want to pursue a job and not a PHD. any suggestions would be helpful

not much difference between the 3. stevens and iit chicago are located near bigger cities and financial industry. More opportunities to work in banking and finance technology after graduation. i know most of them join developer jobs in boa, morgan stanley etc.

UCF basically churns computer scientists out for Lockheed Martin, Siemens, and Harris. There are also a number of smaller computer engineering firms in the metro Orlando area, but I know a couple of people who branched out into other parts of the state after doing their undergrad CS at UCF.

what are the opportunities in the software field after graduating from these universities? Especially IITC and UCF

 

secondly, i have heard that stevens is growing pretty fast and offers a lot of exposure. i am also thinking of changing my program from computer science to MS Information Systems as it offers better jobs prospects as far as i have heard. any suggestions on this

Like the other two universities, UCF does not offer any specializations like Cloud computing or software engineering. It is cheaper than the other two universities of course and has good rankings also, but is it worth it?

If you're looking for professional work post-degree, then specializations as dictated by the department don't matter as much. Take relevant coursework and work relevant internships throughout your time to establish a specialization for yourself. The ranking doesn't matter as much if you don't make the most of your time there. It's only worth it if it's a good fit for you.

Do i need to register for any courses i will study before i go to US and reach the university? I received an email from registrars office from UCF asking me to register for courses. But i have heard its not important and it should be done once you reach the university

2-3 weeks after the course starts is the deadline to register. Don't register before you get your F-1 visa. After that you can register and you can change your selection any time before the deadline.

Do I have to pay anything for registering for these courses? I was curious as there are limited seats.

yes unless you have funding.
