amarquis14 Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Hi all, I've been accepted to both Rutgers in NJ and BU in Boston. I am not quite sure which one I am going to be attending. I am going to be in debt no matter where I go, and I really want to end up being a clinical social worker at a Boston Hospital, which with that being said, I am convinced I need to get a degree from a Boston school/ university to have any sort of chance at getting a social work job in Boston. Opinions??
smpalesh Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 I don't know anything about those schools at all but going to school in the city you want to work in makes sense, especially in the social work field. You are going to want to make connections during your MSW program. Seems like an obvious choice to me.
yigerenkanyiduo Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 I would say BU seems to be a better choice since you want to find job in Boston. There are many job opportunities in the city, and Rutgers might not have the same reputation as BU in Boston. Just personal opinions. Hope it helps.
