Jobs after PhD in molecular biology?

Hi everyone! First post here, so please tell me if I am somehow not following the regulations on posting.

 

I got accepted into a molecular biology PhD program at a top 20 university in the states. What kind of jobs (non-academic) are out there after my program, and how is the salary right out of the PhD program? Thank you!

There are many options for you including pharmaceuticals, biotech, government research or policy, etc. Honestly it depends on what you like, location, etc. I suggest that you talk to the career services center at your institute and begin exploring possible careers. Also talk to your department's DGS to get an idea of where the program's graduates go to after completing their PhDs.
